Michael Aram | Butterfly Ginkgo Canister – Extra Small

The Michael Aram Butterfly Ginkgo Canister – Extra Small is a beautifully sculptural storage piece inspired by the delicate form of the ginkgo tree. Combining a clear textured glass body with a polished metallic lid, the design is crowned by an intricate gold-tone ginkgo leaf and dark branch motif, transforming a practical canister into a decorative object.

The cylindrical glass body features a subtle handcrafted-effect texture that catches and diffuses light, while the reflective lid and base introduce a refined contemporary contrast. Above, the sculptural ginkgo leaves appear to emerge naturally from a dark branch, creating the distinctive botanical character associated with the Butterfly Ginkgo Collection.

Compact and highly decorative, the extra-small size is ideal for storing small keepsakes or simply displaying as an ornamental accent on a dressing table, console, bedside table or shelf.

Why You'll Love It

The Butterfly Ginkgo Canister elevates everyday storage through Michael Aram's distinctive interpretation of nature. Its transparent textured glass gives the piece a light, elegant quality, while the polished metal and golden ginkgo leaves provide a luxurious decorative contrast.

The extra-small proportions make it particularly versatile for smaller surfaces where a larger decorative object could feel overpowering. The sculptural botanical finial also ensures that the canister remains visually interesting even when used purely for display.

Pairing beautifully with other pieces from the Butterfly Ginkgo Collection, it offers an easy way to introduce botanical detailing and mixed metallic finishes into a sophisticated interior.

Styling Inspiration

For an elegant dressing table, use the canister to hold small jewellery or personal accessories and pair it with a decorative tray, perfume bottles and a softly illuminated mirror.

On a console or sideboard, style it alongside art books, an alabaster table lamp and understated decorative objects. Marble, travertine, dark timber and lacquered surfaces provide particularly effective backgrounds for the clear glass and gold-tone detailing.

For a more curated display, combine the Extra Small Butterfly Ginkgo Canister with coordinating canisters in different sizes. Varying heights will create an elegant layered arrangement while maintaining a cohesive botanical theme.
