Luca Chair – Chocolate Brown

The Luca Chair is a sculptural contemporary armchair defined by its enveloping curves, generous proportions and rich chocolate brown upholstery. Designed with an almost continuous, cocoon-like silhouette, Luca combines a softly rounded seat with a sweeping backrest and distinctive layered side panels, creating a piece that feels both architectural and exceptionally inviting.

Its deep chocolate tone enhances the chair's sense of depth and sophistication, while the subtle sheen and tactile quality of the upholstery respond beautifully to changing light. The curved back wraps naturally around the sitter, creating an intimate lounge-like feel, while the substantial upholstered base gives the chair a grounded, monolithic presence.

Luca's expressive organic geometry makes it particularly suited to Contemporary Luxe, 1970s Glamour, Contemporary Mid-Century and Contemporary Eclectic interiors. Equally effective as a standalone statement chair or styled as a pair, it brings the character of collectible designer furniture to a sophisticated living space.

Why You'll Love It

The Luca Chair has the visual presence of a collectible design piece while retaining the warmth and comfort expected from an everyday armchair. Its layered, overlapping curves distinguish it from conventional tub chairs and give the design a particularly sculptural quality.

Chocolate brown is also central to Luca's appeal. Rich and sophisticated without the severity of black, it works beautifully with ivory, cream, caramel, walnut, travertine, bronze and smoked glass.

Its enveloping backrest creates a feeling of privacy and comfort, making Luca particularly effective for intimate conversation areas, reading corners or as a pair of statement chairs opposite a sofa.

Styling Inspiration

For a Contemporary Mid-Century interior, pair the Luca Chair with dark walnut furniture, a low travertine or smoked-glass table and sculptural lighting. Layer warm cream, tobacco and chocolate tones to create a sophisticated interpretation of mid-century design without making the room feel overtly retro.

For a 1970s Glamour-inspired scheme, style Luca with polished stone, smoked glass and brushed bronze or aged brass. A deep-pile neutral rug and oversized statement lighting will complement its low, voluptuous proportions.

For a Contemporary Luxe living room, use two Luca Chairs opposite an ivory or warm-neutral sofa. Keep surrounding furniture relatively restrained and allow the chairs' sculptural profiles and rich chocolate upholstery to provide the visual contrast.
