Livia Curved Sofa - Taupe

The Livia Curved Sofa is a generously proportioned statement sofa defined by its sweeping silhouette, low profile and softly sculpted upholstery. Designed with an enveloping form rather than conventional straight lines, Livia creates a relaxed sense of movement while maintaining a sophisticated architectural presence.

A continuous curved back flows seamlessly into the substantial rounded arms, wrapping around the broad seat to create an intimate, cocooning composition. The softly textured warm neutral upholstery enhances the sofa's tactile character, while the deep seat and loose cushions introduce a more relaxed layer to its otherwise precise sculptural form.

The concealed low-profile base gives Livia a grounded, almost floating appearance and allows the uninterrupted curves to remain the visual focus. Its generous width makes it particularly effective as the principal seating piece in a large living room, open-plan reception space or luxury hospitality interior.

Stylistically, Livia has clear connections to 1970s Italian furniture design and contemporary organic modernism, where generous volumes, curved architecture and tactile materials replace rigid conventional forms.

Why You'll Love It

Livia combines the comfort of an oversized lounge sofa with the visual presence of a sculptural furniture piece. Its sweeping back and oversized rounded arms eliminate the rigid geometry normally associated with large sofas, giving the piece a softer and more architectural character.

The restrained neutral upholstery also makes the substantial silhouette surprisingly versatile. Rather than competing with the form, the tonal finish emphasises its curves, proportions and subtle textile texture.

Its broad, deep seating area makes Livia particularly suited to relaxed entertaining, while its distinctive profile allows it to anchor a room without relying on bold colour or decorative detailing.

Styling Inspiration

For a 1970s Italian Modernist living room, position Livia away from the wall so its complete curved silhouette can be appreciated. Pair it with a low smoked-glass, travertine or richly veined marble coffee table and introduce dark walnut, polished chrome or aged bronze through occasional furniture. An oversized Murano-inspired chandelier and abstract artwork in tobacco, rust and cream will reinforce the period reference without making the room feel retro.

For an Organic Modern scheme, surround Livia with irregular travertine side tables, a substantial wool rug and softly textured plaster or limewash walls. Keep the palette tonal warm ivory, oatmeal, sand and natural stone and introduce only a few sculptural objects. The sofa's curved form provides enough visual movement that the surrounding furniture can remain deliberately restrained.

For a Collectible Contemporary interior, treat Livia almost as a freestanding design object. Place it within a generous open-plan room alongside an asymmetric stone coffee table, an expressive lounge chair and architectural floor lighting. Leave negative space around the sofa rather than filling every corner; its scale and unusual geometry are strongest when the entire silhouette remains visible.

For a Boutique Hotel aesthetic, combine Livia with dark timber wall panelling, deeply veined stone, oversized contemporary artwork and pools of warm indirect lighting. A pair of sculptural side tables and a large statement rug will frame the sofa while preserving the sophisticated lounge-like atmosphere.
